The Unboxing (Haul) Video!
From the Eminence website:
Simply put, Echoes of War could be summed up as an album of orchestrated music from the games of Blizzard Entertainment – StarCraft, Warcraft, Diablo and World of Warcraft. But in reality, it’s much more than that – Echoes of War marks the first large-scale game-music project in the western world, and one of the biggest and most ambitious musical projects (of any type) worldwide.
We at Eminence are huge fans of the game-music genre, which is exactly why we formed. Game-music, like that of Blizzard Entertainment’s awe-inspiring games, is some of the best and most varied in the world, but it is also some of the most under-recognised and under-appreciated. From the adrenaline-filled highs, to the tear-jerking lows, it’s the music in our favourite games that truly guides our emotions. It is the goal of Echoes of War to, next time you’re playing a game, make you take a moment to simply enjoy the music.
So beyond being a simple musical album, Echoes of War aims to put music of Blizzard Entertainment’s games in the spotlight, to be appreciated on their own merits, with a full symphony orchestra, and backing choir, to perform and pay homage to them. It is a project of love, made by fans of Blizzard Entertainment’s games, and as such, the musical pieces are recognisable from the games, but ultimately different interpretations. Our arrangers and musicians have put a little piece of themselves into each track, and we think that the end result is nothing short of outstanding.
